Long Falls

This is what I call "Long Falls", since it runs a long way down. This falls is back up in a cove that is part of Fishing Creek (actually it is part of Lake Cumberland), near the recreation area by that name. The recreation area is out west 80 a few miles west of Somerset, then off on a side road to the right by a Shell station.

You can get to the falls by parking in the rec. area and walking east to where the lake curves, and go up in that cove. If the lake is up, that will make it harder, because you will have to do a little hill climbing. If the lake is up, there is not enough room to walk along the shore at a certain section, and you will have to go up. At the inlet to the side, you can go up to the base of the cliff line and walk along that until you get to the falls, passing another little one on the way. If there hasn't been much rain for a while, the run-off will probably be thin, or none at all.
